Based in the Boston area, commercial real estate developer Michael Snedeker serves as executive vice president of Elite Building Corp. Michael Snedeker gives back to the community by contributing to nonprofit organizations such as the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-Angell Animal Medical Center.

Founded in 1868, the MSPCA is one of the oldest humane societies in the United States. It provides animal adoption, advocacy, and veterinary care to injured, abused, homeless, and sick animals. The organization was formally renamed to MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical Center in 2003 to recognize the three main veterinary facilities in Boston, Nantucket, and Western New England. One animal protection initiative facilitated by MSPCA-Angell is the Pet Care Assistance program, established in 1990.
Pet Care Assistance offers financial support to pet owners with low income to cover their veterinary costs at MSPCA-Angell. The program also offers financial assistance to cover medical care for animals removed from their owners by law enforcement due to abuse or neglect. Funds also go toward examinations for animals in the MSPCA’s adoption centers.
